Ghana's currency the Cedi comes as notes and coins in denominations issued by the Bank of Ghana. The notes are ¢500, ¢1000, ¢2000 ¢5000 and coins are ¢5, ¢10, ¢20, ¢50, ¢100, ¢500.

Travelers to Ghana are allowed by law to bring with them any amount of foreign exchange into the country which can be changed to cedis in our banks or the Forex Bureaus.
